In the first hours after a death, a family is told several things at once: get the medical report, go to the Public Service Hall, arrange permission at the cemetery. Working out who issues what, and in which order, is the last thing anyone has the strength for at that moment.

What documents do you need from the family?
To begin, the deceased person's identity document and the consent of the family member arranging the funeral. The medical report and the registration of the death are collected by our staff member, so nobody in the family has to travel between offices.
How long does the paperwork take?
It depends on where and how the death was certified and which office is involved. We start as soon as you contact us and report back after each stage, so the date of the farewell can be fixed with confidence rather than guessed at.
How is cremation paperwork arranged, and what does it cost?
Cremation needs separate consents and a formal application, and we prepare those for you. The price is set by arrangement, and we confirm it with you by phone. For reference, the basic funeral package is 850 GEL and a full package is quoted individually.
